Day Hike with Bill Murdy
In the fall of 1999, former Emory Dean Bill Murdy, pictured below, led a hiking group of FOEF supporters through Wesley Woods. Along the way, he and Oxford Professor, Eloise Carter educated hikers about the forest's native and non-native flora as well as its interesting history and status as a protected region.

Peavine Park Clean Up Day Along with the Peavine Creek Watershed Alliance, Emory's Office of Community Affairs, The Boy Scouts, and other neighborhood associations, Friends of Emory Forest assisted in the first phase of the creation and cleanup of Peavine Park on Saturday, October 14, 2000. Dozens of volunteers filled dozens of trashbags and helped to reclaim the neglected waterway adjacent to campus behind the CVS pharmacy. |

Trees Atlanta to celebrate Martin Luther King
Jr.'s birthday.

the Friends of Emory Forest added 30 new trees
to the Peavine Park area behind CVS Pharmacy
in the Emory Village.
