- Meet at Clock Tower (Cox Hall) at 3:00 p.m. for a tree planting nearby until

- Meet at the Luce Center (drive beyond the Miller-Ward Alumni house off Houston
Mill Rd) at 3:00 p.m. for a guided walk through Harwood Forest.
- Tree Planting -- Saturday, October 5, 2002
- Meet at the Shuttle road gate at 10 a.m. We will thin out dead trees, aerate
the soil, and plant wildflower seeds as well as new trees until about 2 p.m.
Bring loppers if you have them.
- Earth Day Walk -- Sunday, April 21, 2002.
- Join us for a two mile walk through the woods along Peavine Creek on campus
at 2:00 p.m. Meet at the Oxford Road bridge at Peavine Creek.
- Emory Arbor Day tree planting -- Saturday, March 23, 2002
- Join us at one or both of two two-hour shifts -- 10 a.m. - noon and noon
- 2:00 p.m. at the Baker Woodlands extension between Dowman Drive and Oxford
Road, across from the ICIS building.
- Ivy Pull -- Monday, January 21, 2002, 10 a.m. - 12:00. Baker Woodlands
- Sponsored together with Volunteer Emory and the Ad Hoc Committe for Environmental
Stewardship. These ivy pulls have succeeded in pushing back the English ivy
from most of the eastern end of Baker Woods and allowed the native vegetation
to return, including some replanted native azaleas. The long term plan is
to restore both the vegetation and the stream from the library down to Peavine
Creek.
